Meredith Buchholtz, Soprano
Meredith Buchholtz, soprano, is an up and coming stage performer with a vast background in both musical theatre and opera. In 2012, she covered the title role in Madama Butterfly with Chelsea Opera. That same year, she made her debut with Opera Manhattan in the lead role of Charlotte in Before Breakfast for which she garnered stellar reviews.
Ms. Buchholtz has also sung with The Opera Project, Lehigh University Opera Theatre, Empire Opera, Dicapo Opera Theatre, Berkshire Opera Company, Center for Contemporary Opera, Manhattan School of Music Opera Theatre, and the Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players.
She received her undergraduate degrees in Music and Theatre from Lehigh University and her graduate degree in Classical Voice and Opera from Manhattan School of Music. She currently studies with Rosa Vento in New York.
Prior roles include Mrs. Gobineau (The Medium), Female Chorus (The Rape of Lucretia), The Intern (Tony Caruso’s Final Broadcast), Nella (Gianni Schicchi), Valencienne – Cover (The Merry Widow), Gertrude (Hansel and Gretel), Ortensia (Mirandolina – US Premiere), and Liberty (The Proposal).
